Hi, I have one. ( and coincidentally a Q7 too) The 3.0T in the S5 is the same as the one in the Q7 and has a timing chain. There is no set timing chain maintenance interval. Many last well past 100k miles. Some double that. There can be issues however. Tensioners can fail much earlier necessitating expensive repairs.
